final catchup post

I'm almost caught up, I guess. This is all about trying to establish a habit of blogging, keeping it up over a month or so. so here's the last one of the day (thursday, I still owe y'all one for friday).

Path Work

These images are me learning the basics of the pen tool and paths in photoshop. at this point, all i do is pretty much just drop gradients in, but it's fun and looks pretty cool.

I get knocked down, but i get up again.

So, I haven't posted since Sunday, which means I'm a good four posts behind. So today, expect a few more pieces. First is this sketch of Ventress, another character from my Ghostrockets comics project. Punnaka, who we saw earlier, is the hero, but her best friend and DJ is Ventress. This sketch is part of some thumbnails for a simple animation I'd like to do in Flash.

Scarlet sketch

Just real quick, one of the early sketches for Scarlet, a friend's character. I may write more about her later (with permission), but for now here's the sketch.

aka fun with Photoshop. My friend Stephen was throwing me some image links for character design on a project he's writing. I decided for the hell of it to mix 'em up in photoshop, change some color and see what happened... too much fun, man.

Another image of Punnaka, the lead character from Ghostrockets. I've been playing around with sketches of the characters in photoshop, helping me get ideas for how to merge my drawing methods with my computer methods.

Damn, I missed posting yesterday. and after talking it up to my roommate, too. So there'll be two posts today. First, here are the icons for my video game project from game design class at city college.

basically, you play a li'l devil named Duppy who's trying to get through his day with appropriate drugs, and you have to switch to the right drug to take care of certain enemies. For example, when faced with happy bunnies, use the prozac... when facing the ghosts of your ambition, use the caffeine, dim the din of the talking heads with weed.

So here are the icons for the user interface.
